Been in the sun too long?

It's only an "Okeetee" Corn if it was in the Coastal Plains of southern South Carolina. The other pic looks more like a Miami-Phase Corn. Still, it's a horrible waste to see such a beautiful animal dead, especially knowing that someone probably killed it on purpose, thinking they'd done the world some great favor by eliminating some "deadly Copperhead" or something. Corns, unfortunately, are often victims of deliberate run-overs while crossing or nearing the roads, because their lovely colors make them stick out like a sore thumb.
